our vision

Bestwork’s state-of-the-art BLVSC will provide underserved populations with adequate access to vision services and resources, especially people who are experiencing vision loss or are newly blind.

Services provided will include:

  • Low vision Clinic
  • Assistive Technology Center
  • Rehabilitation Services

The goal is to provide training in orientation and mobility, life and business skills, and adaptive technology, as well as referrals to specialists when needed.

low vision clinic

The Low Vision Clinic at Bestwork would include low-vision evaluations and treatment performed by licensed Optometrists or Ophthalmologists specializing in low vision.

assistive technology center

The Assistive Technology Center introduces people experiencing vision loss with tangible access to a variety of devices like cell phones, magnifiers, and computers, and software programs such as JAWS and ZoomText, that can aid in their activities of daily life. Items will be available for purchase and training on how to use the equipment will be provided. All assistive technology training will be customized to each person’s ability, goals, and intent for using their device.

vocational rehabilitative services

Bestwork will provide life skills training to include activities of independent living, orientation and mobility, as well as professional business skills like resume writing, interviewing, and public speaking to help them succeed in a professional setting.
