Bestwork Industries for the Blind, Inc. is an independent, not-for-profit agency founded in 1981 to provide employment opportunities to people who are blind or visually impaired. What began as a small state contract workshop has evolved into a dynamic organization guided by the principles of lean manufacturing, technology and automation, and the quality management system ISO 9001:2015.

With a staggering 70% rate of unemployment for people who are blind, we make recruitment, training and employment a priority so our staff is prepared to deliver real value to our customers. We do this through a supportive work environment, state-of-the-art equipment, and strategic partnerships.
We produce an array of military clothing, including fleece jackets for the Navy, long sleeve undershirts, short sleeve t-shirts for the Army, and pockets for camouflage pants.
Our line of traffic safety clothing is used for industrial as well as recreational use. We feature top notch heavy duty vests with 3M™ striping. We also have ANSI compliant lighter weight vests in open front or over the head styles.

We currently produce three different sizes of industrial paper wipes. We also cut and package a microfiber towel.
We offer two types of cloths. A wiping and a polishing cloth. We sew and assemble industrial strength laundry nets.

Bestwork Industries for the Blind has been affected, as everyone has, by the coronavirus pandemic. Throughout this difficult period, our primary focus has been on the health of all our team members. We supersized our cleaning and sanitization efforts throughout our campus. We also made available gloves and masks for our team members for coming and going from work. Since we are considered an essential business, we are open with a reduced work force. No one has been laid off at this time and we intend and expect to return to full employment. We are, in consultation with our customers, meeting the most vital product needs first, while meeting all the quality standards that has made Bestwork the best.
