MaryAnn Ragone
Director of the Blindness and Low Vision Services Center

MaryAnn Ragone joins Bestwork Industries for the Blind as the Director of the new Blindness and Low-Vision Services Center (BLVSC). She will be instrumental in launching the Center and expanding its services to include free adult vision screenings, low-vision exams, access to assistive technology, and vocational and vision rehabilitation services for the community.
MaryAnn brings over 30 years of distinguished experience in vision care, development, and fundraising within the non-profit sector. Her lifelong passion for vision health began at the South Jersey Eye Center (SJEC), founded by her father. As Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer, MaryAnn led the organization in delivering critical vision services, operating a primary care vision clinic, a low vision center, and a children’s eye screening program for nearly 25 years. Her career also includes key roles as the Northeast Representative for Plusoptix and the Director of Development and Communications for AltruVision – A Lions Eye Bank.
MaryAnn holds two master’s degrees, both earned summa cum laude: a master’s in Administrative Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Master of Public Health from Drexel University.
Her commitment to service is highlighted by nearly 30 years with Lions Clubs International, where she has served as President of the Camden Lions Club, District Governor, and currently serves as Council Chair for New Jersey Multiple District 16. She is also a past President of the Cherry Hill Enrico Fermi Lodge of the Sons and Daughters of Italy.
When not working to advance vision health, MaryAnn enjoys photography, a passion she shared with her father, and has an “eye” for nature and flowers. She resides in Medford, NJ with her husband Bob, dog Beau, and cats Lucia and Leo.
