Bestwork Industries for the Blind, Inc. is pleased to announce that its quality management system has successfully transitioned from ISO 9001:2008 to the recently revised and most current version of International Quality Management System standard, ISO 9001:2015. This was accomplished by passing a three-day extensive full system audit, which was performed by Charles Facas, Lead Auditor from Perry Johnson Registrars, from January 17 – 19, 2017. This year, Bestwork surpassed its own tradition of qualifying 3rd party ISO audits without any major nonconformance; this time, the auditor issued ZERO NCRs – neither major nor minor.
ISO certification is critical to our success not only because our existing customers require it, but also to acquire new business in order to fulfill our mission, which is to provide employment to people who are blind or visually impaired. Moreover, ISO philosophy keeps us focused on enhancing customer satisfaction by consistently meeting their requirements and continually improving the effectiveness of our quality management system.
Congratulations to all those who worked hard to make this possible.
